Infidelity Hurts Awareness Day

The vision for Infidelity SPeaKS is to bring this topic front and center and to shed light on such devastating behavior. It is disturbing to hear about the number of relationships that infidelity has impacted and even more frustrating to witness how acceptable this behavior has become. The goal of Infidelity SPeaKs is to standup against infidelity. This movement challenges us to look into the heart of the matter. ~~ Christina Ferguson, CPC

Who Is Christina Ferguson?

Christina says, “Life does not come with an instruction manual; it is simply a day-to-day experience.” One usually has a mental picture of how life is supposed to unfold, but it doesn’t always go as planned. What happens then?

During the course of marriage; a miscarriage; separation; the gift of reconciliation; a second miscarriage; then, to being separated again and ultimately divorced, Christina found herself in a space of chaos and confusion. This is life as it is NOW, but what are you going to do about it? is Christina’s personal mantra of empowerment. She uses this as her catalyst to find and cultivate something good out of those seemingly not-so-great circumstances and curve balls of life.

These same experiences have birthed Christina’s passion to work with others who might be at the crossroads of change and wondering how to move forward; thus, inspiring her brand, “SPeaKOUT with Christina.” She will challenge you to look at your curve balls of life, own your truth, and create your personal story. Christina is author of SPeaKOUT with Christina and co-author of Staging Your Life. In her book, SPeaKOUT with Christina, she shares her “from the floor to the stage” story of coping with infidelity during her marriage. In 2015 she founded the first Annual Infidelity SPeaKS Awareness Day in Washington, D.C. with a mission to eradicate normalizing and promoting infidelity as an acceptable and notable behavior by bringing awareness to the emotional and psychological consequences experienced by individuals, children, families, and communities, and to offer encouragement and support to those who might suffer in silence as they rebuild their lives and relationships.

Christina has a master's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree. She is Executive Director of The ANIYA Group She is certified to teach “Yes You Can” self-esteem workshops for women of all ages, and is a licensed Feel the Fear trainer. Christina maintains membership in the American Psychological Association, Learning Disabilities Association of America, and National Association of Self-Esteem.
